Many communities face an overwhelming need for financial literacy, especially when it comes to understanding credit and how to get and maintain a healthy credit profile.  There’s also a huge demand for the fundamentals of budgeting, money management, and wealth creation. That’s why I created Velvet—to help bridge that gap.

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime!” I truly believe this philosophy holds incredible value.

When I faced my own financial struggles and reached a crossroad, I realized I needed to make a change. As I began my journey to financial recovery, I quickly discovered that the vital information I was learning had never been taught in school! Had I known then what I know now, I could have avoided many pitfalls.

The harsh reality is that so many Americans still suffer from this same lack of information. If we aren’t proactive, this cycle will continue, and future generations will remain at a disadvantage when it comes to credit, finances, and building wealth.

Now, over 10 years later, I’m a Finance Manager, Board-Certified Credit Consultant, and Certified Credit Score Consultant. I’ve helped countless people navigate their own “crossroads”, and I’m ready to help many more.
